The Aussie designed and manufactured Inventco water Door Closer was first released into the Australian market in 1990. If needing to purchase parts for the original V1 (pre 2008) Water Door Closer, we recommend considering the purchase of our 3S Upgrade Kit instead. This kit replaces all functional closer componentry except for the tube. Provided the latter is in good condition, fitting the kit can extend the closer’s life by 20 years or more, effectively creating a new closer.
The VI Inventco Door Closer can be immediately identified by a metal eyetag on the nylon cord that hooks onto the anchor screw. For confirmation, the V1 also includes the original white weights within the tube.
By around 15 years of service the weight and valve system of the V1 closer and its pulley wheel may well have deteriorated or worn significantly, depending upon usage. Fitting the 3S Upgrade Kit may well be much more cost effective long term than replacing individual parts.
